The only thing that I really dislike about this boot is the way the leather scratches with very little effort. I work in the 2 way radio business on and around towers, and believe me I really tried to not scuff these at all but like I said it takes very little effort! General use, lets say going on a hike they are super comfortable and your feet dont get tired. Just for the said opinion they are spectacular for comfort... What I cannot get over is the price I paid for a boot that looks a year old and I have only had them for about 2 months. I would recommend this boot to anyone who will be hiking on a groomed trail!

This was my first pair of backpacking boots and I am amazed on how there is virtually no break in period. I have heard others say that getting them wet speeds up the process, which was very good advice that I was able to use. Much worth the price and I would recommend them to anyone who is willing to put a little extra money into a pair of boots. The lacing system with the rollers is incredible and allows you to eliminate any discomfort by simply adjusting where the tension lies on your foot.

I have went through three pairs of the Asolo TPS 520's. These Powermatic 200's are said to be the upgraded version of the 520's. Right out of the box, these boots were comfortable, as the 520's always were also. I consider the roller mechanisms for the laces to be a great idea, and improvent. Make sure to double knot them, or they will loosen up.
Once again, Asolo has gave us a great boot that fits well, and lasts like no other boot I'm aware of.
My brother just ordered a pair of these, from Bootbay, because I suggested he buy them to solve a problem of his, which was blisters on his heels from slippage. With the way that these fit, I don't think he will have this problem, they seem to hold the heel very well. We went to a store in Oregon while I was there last month, and after he tried them on and walked in them, he was convinced.
I was in the drilling business, and wound up trying every boot I could find. These are the best fitting, most comfortable and long wearing boot I have found, to this day.
Some people feet that the price is on the high side. I don't. Good boots are not cheap, and saying that, I feel that these are a fantastic value for the money.

A great fitting and supportive boot - with or without supportive insertsorthotics. The quality of the boot materials and workmanship should make these last for a long time. Purchase is highly recommended.
